Natalie Portman is in love. Nothing wrong with that, you’d think. Well … think again.
The monkey impersonator in the picture above is the “man” in question, Devendra Banhart, a Venezuelan-American folk rock singer-songwriter and musician. According to Wikipedia, his music has been classified as indie folk, psych folk, Naturalismo, and New Weird America. The last one sounds like the perfect description, if you ask me.
Now, I know love makes you do crazy things. Been there, done that. But hey, at least nobody has a video of me, right? Natalie’s “proof of love” will surely be on YouTube long after the romance will have passed. And trust me: it shall pass. One morning the psychedelic stuff he’s got her on will wear off … and the prince will once again turn into a hairy frog.

Well, the movie premise seems interesting enough: a man decides to say “say Yes where once would have said No” for an entire year. The script is based on the memoir by Danny Wallace, the British documentary comedian, writer, television and radio presenter who decided to make this experiment in order to make his life more interesting and positive.
I guess you have to be a guy to think this experiment up … Just imagine being a woman and having to answer yes to any question or proposal. Better yet… stop fantasizing and watch the movie trailer!
Oh, yes, Jim Carrey plays the main character, which is enough to make me certain that this is one movie I won’t be watching. Ever. Not even once. … Well, maybe just the movie trailer…
Tina Kaiser is apparently a famous German TV Presenter, who hosted various TV shows; I could list them all here, but I bet you couldn’t care less…
Besides this, she works as a model for various catalogs, campaigns, and corporate events. In addition, she is an actress, appearing in German movies such as Under suspicion 2, and Weddings makes me nervous.

We’ve got news from the City of Ember movie set!
Looks like Saoirse Ronan, the little girl that ruined her sister’s life in Atonement, is instrumental in finding a way out of the City of Ember and saving everybody.
The set design looks impressive. It really has an epic, post-apocalyptic aesthetic. Responsible for it is the creative imagination of Martin Laing, the same man that brought us the sets of Titanic or Pearl Harbor.
And hey, any movie that’s got Bill Murray in it is bound to make me laugh…

No, I’m not writing to indulge my undying love for George Clooney. I admit it doesn’t hurt that he is in this movie, but just watch the trailer - this is one good comedy!
The world of 1920’s football is a pretty strange setting for a 2008 romantic comedy, but Clooney and, as much as it pains me to admit, Renée Zellweger, manage to bring back the screwball genre. No wonder George was called by Time Magazine “The Last Movie Star”…

Yes, I know there already is a Wanted trailer around here somewhere, but I like this one better.
God, or Buddha, or whoever is the deity de jour of Hollywooditoria, I can hardly wait to see this movie!
Ok, ok, it’s obviously not a chick flick, but hey! … I would watch James McAvoy in a soap commercial, and I’d be giddy as a schoolgirl! What can I say…I’m a sucker for Scotsmen! Just imagining him talking to me with that harsh but sweet accent of his gets me all…. enthusiastic… He could be reading to me from ‘The Adventures of James Capen Adams Mountaineer and Grizzly Bear Hunter of California ‘ for all I care.
So, I have till summer to find someone to take me to see Wanted. Hmmm…It’s got Angelina, fast car chases and lots of shooting…something tells me it’s going to be an easier sale than ‘Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street’…
