The Midnight Meat Train in the Underground

The Midnight Meat Train in the Underground

The Midnight Meat Train is bound not to get a whole lot of play… So chances are that it’s going to become a cult underground classic… Horror writer Clive Barker, although none too delighted with Hollywood studio Lionsgate, revealed that he is very proud that the movie is surviving the nonsense. People are getting to see the movie. It’s sort of starting to have a cult life.” He’s less positive in his feelings for Drake, calling him “small-minded” and a “nobody.”

“There’s room for everything. You don’t have to sh- on somebody else’s work to advance your own material..director Ryuhei Kitamura “made a f-ing great movie, and the politics that are being visited upon it have nothing to do with the movie at all. This is all about ego, and though I mourn the fact that ‘Midnight Meat Train’ was never given its chance in theaters, it’s a beautifully stylish, scary movie, and it isn’t going anywhere. People will find it, and whether they find it in midnight shows or they find it on DVD, they’ll find it, and in the end the Joe Drakes of the world will disappear.”

New Movie Releases: Yes Man Movie Trailer

Well, the movie premise seems interesting enough: a man decides to say “say Yes where once would have said No” for an entire year. The script is based on the memoir by Danny Wallace, the British documentary comedian, writer, television and radio presenter who decided to make this experiment in order to make his life more interesting and positive.

I guess you have to be a guy to think this experiment up … Just imagine being a woman and having to answer yes to any question or proposal. Better yet… stop fantasizing and watch the movie trailer!

Oh, yes, Jim Carrey plays the main character, which is enough to make me certain that this is one movie I won’t be watching. Ever. Not even once. … Well, maybe just the movie trailer…

New Movie Releases: Watchmen First Movie Trailer

Watchmen

From the movie director that brought us 300, Zack Snyder, comes the film adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ comic book limited series Watchmen, called by some “the smartest, most subversive superhero story ever created.”

”In my movie, Superman doesn’t care about humanity, Batman can’t get it up, and the bad guy wants world peace,” says Snyder to EW.com.

The film stars Patrick Wilson, Jackie Earle Haley, Malin Akerman, Billy Crudup, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Matthew Goode, Stephen McHattie and Carla Gugino.

As far as I’m concerned, if it’s got Billy Crudup, than I’m sure to be the first in line to see it when it hits the big screen, which won’t happen until March 6, 2009. But if this first trailer is any indication, than I think I should get going and hold a spot…the cinemas are going to be crowded!

Armed only with the delusions that all his amazing feats and powers are real, and with the help of two unlikely traveling companions: a jaded, abandoned house-cat named Mittens (voice of Susie Essman) and a TV-obsessed hamster in a plastic ball named Rhino, Bolt discovers he doesn’t need superpowers to be a hero.

New Movie Releases: RocknRolla 2008 Trailer

RocknRolla

Here is Guy Ritchie’s new movie release “RocknRolla”. The film follows a Russian mobster who orchestrates a crooked land deal, putting millions of dollars up for grabs and attracting all of the criminal underworld. Everyone from a dangerous crime lord to a sexy accountant, a corrupt politician and down-on-their-luck petty thieves conspire, collude and collide with one another in an effort to get rich quick.

Butler stars as One Two, a street-smart mobster who has learned to play both sides of the fence, and Wilkinson is playing the lethal head mobster, Lenny Cole, part of London’s old mob regime, which is quickly losing ground to the wealthier foreign mob. Newton acts as One Two’s love interest, Stella, an accountant with ties to the underworld, and Elba acts as Mumbles, One Two’s partner. Bridges is playing Roman, an American trying to break into the music scene in London.

There are few directors in the world today who are as unique as Guy Ritchie. His films, everything from “Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrells” to “Snatch”, have a quality that is all their own. But Ritchie hasn’t had anything pack a punch like this since “Snatch” came out in 2001. I must say, this looks like a brilliant return to form.

Enjoy the trailer and the pictures!!!

New Movie Releases: Babylon A.D. 2008 Trailer

Babylon A.D.

Here is Vin Diesel’s new movie release “Babylon A.D.”. Vin Diesel stars as a mercenary hired to deliver a package from the ravages of post-apocalyptic Eastern Europe to a destination in the megalopolis of New York City. The “package” is a mysterious young woman with a secret. I’m really expecting this to be the next great Vin Diesel sci-fi. It has a much different feel and much different setting, but it looks like Mathieu Kassovitz pulled it off. Enjoy the trailers and the pictures!!!
